you shouldn't use CDs, only WAX CYLINDERS. To get that real ANALOG warmth.

Okay okay... I'm not getting into a cd vs vinyle discussion. I'm just looking into a possible move that I might do. I find it frustrating being incapable of mixing a cheaper bought track from digital labels. Besides... the pure strength and trustiness of the 12" records is too much to turn my back on.

honestly, as a CD Dj, i highly DO NOT recommend that particular player.. :)

stick with the 100's or upgrade to the 800's.. the 200's just don't feel right.. to me. .... ..

What do you mean? The reason I'm going for the 200 is because you actually "feel" something with the 200... I'm refering to the little sensation you get while pitch bending. As for the 100, I feel like I'm just turning a piece of plastic round and round...

Since I'm only aiming on getting one CDJ, maybe the 800 would be the best thing to get. Gosh...

I agree that 100s > 200, I started mixing CDs on the 100s, and I'm still not digging the 200 :(

By the way, I need a second 100s, so if anyone has an offer, PM me please!

If you want a digital turntable without any effect like the flanger, the wah-wah and the zip, go with the 800. You will get the turntable feeling with endless loop and scratch effect. If you want a real cd player, you have to go with the 100 or the 200. I think that the 200 are goods machines because you can be more precisely with them and the can play mp3 too. If you buy music online, you will have high quality mp3 and the 200 give the chance to have more song on 1 cd for this reason... the quality will be the same. Burn a mp3 cd in wav or in mp3, you will get the same audio quality because your source is a mp3. The only exception to this is if the cd player is a piece of shit when it translate the mp3 into music from an mp3 cd....
