I remember when they first started charging people to use it, was probably around 1995, the Computer Paper had the headline: "The Internet as we know it is dead!" with dead crossed out and commercial written in its place... that may very well be from 1995 I had a 2400kbps modem in 1994 and it was pretty high tech... Like it was the best you could get... when I got my 9600kbps modem in 95 my brother was freaking out! ill never forget the 13.6 or 19.2 man those were the days i also remember Lynx or whatever.... man... it wasnt even that long ag o and look how far we've come... pretty crazy |

and was using mosaic browser in windows 95...but i was mainly on hotline client waiting like 2 days to download 50 megs anime music videos o_O and i couldnt even watch a fucking mpeg file full screen because of my crappy 1meg video card !_! |
