[ www.netscape.qc.ca ] _________________________ Canada Inc. a annoncé aujourd'hui le lancement de la version canadienne française de Netscape 8.0, le tout nouveau navigateur web qui ajuste automatiquement les paramètres de sécurité afin de contribuer à la protection des utilisateurs pendant qu'ils explorent le web. Netscape 8.0 a voulu associer le meilleur des deux technologies Firefox et Internet Explorer, assurant une compatibilité web par l'affichage automatique de chaque page web au moyen du moteur de rendu de Firefox ou d'IE, selon celui qui convient le mieux ou qui a été sélectionné par l'utilisateur. Netscape 8.0 a été conçu pour inclure des caractéristiques adaptées aux besoins des utilisateurs canadiens. La version canadienne française de Netscape 8.0 pourra être téléchargée dès aujourd'hui. Au moment du téléchargement, le portail [ Netscape.qc.ca ] sera établi comme page d'accueil par défaut pour offrir une expérience axée sur un contenu canadien français. Le navigateur propose diverses fonctions : navigation par onglet, fil de nouvelles RSS intégrés, paramètres améliorés de protection des renseignements personnels, groupes d'«onglets maison» préférés, comptes de courriel multiples, gestion de pré-remplissage des formulaires et des mots de passe, actualités et jusqu'à 10 barres d'outils personnalisables. Si un utilisateur consulte un site web à l'aide de Netscape 8.0, le navigateur vérifie automatiquement si ce site appartient à la «liste noire», constamment mise à jour et répertoriant des milliers de sites associés à des virus, à des fraudes ou à des logiciels-espions, ou à la «liste blanche» de quelque 150 000 sites Web homologués par TRUSTe et par VeriSign. Selon l'appartenance du site à l'une ou l'autre des listes, le navigateur ajuste automatiquement les paramètres de sécurité et le moteur de rendu, contribuant ainsi à protéger l'utilisateur des sites dangereux et à offrir une fonctionnalité complète sur les sites connus et validés. Le navigateur bloque également l'accès aux sites suspects avec un écran de mise en garde et désactive la fonctionnalité potentiellement dangereuse de ces sites. Pour les millions de sites qui ne se trouvent sur aucune des deux listes, Netscape 8.0 fonctionne exactement comme Firefox. Si la page ne s'affiche pas correctement, l'utilisateur peut passer à l'affichage IE d'un simple clic. Le navigateur garde également en mémoire les préférences de chaque utilisateur; il ne faut donc préciser ses choix qu'une seule fois. Netscape is such an obvious ripoff of Firefox, I'm certain most Firefox extensions work on it. How original. :: color scheme ? I don't care what anyone says, aqua is a disgustingly sick color to look at. Hospital walls and your grandmother's pants are this color, dammit. For all these reasons, I say a big " either you're insane or insanely high, that shit's got as much chances of being installed on my computer than Dubya Bush has chances of having lightning strike his head 35 times in a row " to Netscape. Took them 2 weeks to tell me they couldn't actually activate a high speed connection at my place (they didn't even tell me, i had to discover it on my own and tell them!), i went to the store, bought a cable modem, called up videotron (at 10pm, bell phone support closes at 5pm), i was online in 3.5 minutes. |

If I was a competitor i would hook you up quick too! There;s alot of more than satisfied clients with sympatico. Just because that happened to you doesn't it make it representative of the service in general. And if it does, take a logic course or something. No companies is perfect but we often expect more than perfect actions from them. |

why because you share a network when you are with cable provider and so... the more people on the network.. the slower the speed. I have videotron unfortunately, contract I have. Plus, they have a bandwidth cap and they are more expensive! Plus, it is less secure because you are sharing a network! |
