So i get this email today saying my "Wells Fargo" account needs updating..
i check it out and it wants my ATM number and PIN.. :| [ www.wellsfargo.com ] The email: Dear valued WellsFargo ® member: Due to concerns, for the safety and integrity of the wellsfargo account we have issued this warning message. There is sooo much spamming of hooking these days...
I also reveiced some from Desjardins (fake of course) - In a any case do not give personal info to anybody. |

it's funny though, they also have fake application forms for accounts and such.
they can then use that info to call up your existing bank, say "oops, i forgot my PIN" can you give it to me? the bank then asks you a bunch of personal information that supposedly only you would know, then they give you a new PIN.. then tada, they rob you. |

Saw a thing on TV about Videotron yesterday.
Somebody wrote a check to them to pay a bill for somebody and then after they re-used his banking account to take the monthly payment directly from his bank account without any authorization... These dayz you really need to check out your monthly transactions really carefully. You never know what can happen |

They said that after that they will review their policy because it is illegal to take money without written authorisation (doh!) |
