a grid of colors that is dynamically generated from aesthetic readings of inputted poems or songs, illustrating different possible subjective readings of text. a computational model of aesthetic interpretation uses several textual analysis engines, each computing a different mode of interpreting text, such as 'sentimental evocations' & 'visual imagery'. the resulting modalities are then mapped into color space using theories of color psychology. visual example: the word 'sunset' (top row) & 'war (bottom row), as interpreted by 'thinking-sensation' (left-column) versus 'intuition-feeling' (right column). read more about it here [ web.media.mit.edu ] there's two demo movies and a Pdf file with more ingo at that link |
