Jinxed Computer Users?

| Finally, scientific proof that some people are just jinxed when it comes to computers.
TORONTO (CP) - Some people seem to carry a computer curse, frustrated by a plague of viruses, hard-drive failures, power surges and software conflicts that appear and disappear without rational explanation.
They blame their machines and suffer the scorn of others who accuse them of doing something wrong. But researchers at Princeton University may have an explanation: these computer users, it seems, could be sending out bad vibes. |

| my computer has mood swings. Yesterday it wouldn't play an avi, and I was like wtf I know the files fine and others would run so I didn't change anything. I leave it on through the night, try to play the file again in the morning and BOOM, works like a charm. Didn't change a thing. Sometimes it works if you talk to it. I swear. |

| I've often seen computers do things which do not make sense at all.. like my old system especially.. when I first got it sometimes I would get errors at startup saying my memory was bad or whatever.. but then it would work for 2 years with no problems whatsoever..
My laptop had a kernal panic at startup a while ago, then it never happened again and I have had no problems......
One time my old system said I had 5 com ports, which is impossible..
Once or twice my soundcard would mysteriously not be detected (pci audiophile), then it would be if I restarted, that only happened a couple of times.. |

| M-Audio drivers are weird, i had to roll back the drivers for my delta44 when i put XP on because it would recognize the card, go figure. Gotta love windows... still better than bein a frappucino sippin mac user |

| It's happened so many times that people have problems and the computer won't even make it past the POST, and when I sit down and hit the power, I'm like "Ok, so what's wrong?" 'cause it boots all the way through properly and doesn't do anything wrong. |
