| Coolness: 55585 | the last time they had the census, i refused to answer the race or religion questions. i got a call a month later from the census dudes saying they could fine me for not filling out the census completely. i told them i didn't see how my race or religion was relevant to the census and they could fine me all they wanted. they never did. |

A modern census is used to determine the economic makeup and population / economic concetrations of communities, in order to best provide services for these communities. There is NO reason for religion or race to be tabulated in a country. Open you eyes and you'll see out of your own ass. If you want to buy in to some old fashioned mentality that requires racial and religious categorization and division in our society, then you've got issues. What church i go to or don't go to in no way affects whether my town needs a bigger fire department or whether the education system should hire more teachers. The days of protestant / catholic schoolboards is fast changing. |
