7pm - free A night devoted to the darker side of the psyche. This stylistically dark night will emphasize on despair, loneliness and death. Mix_Sessions - Darken will Construct a gloomy surreal night with VJ KAS and VJ Athanore mixing a complex set of dark surreal visual compositions, creating shadows that will weave to the mysterious sounds of DJs Mr. Black and Dysklo. Come join us in this homage to "film noir" in a modern night of imagery and sound, producing a dark atmosphere of dread and paranoia. DAVE [ www.ncvmontreal.com ] Dave O’Brien is a DJ, Promoter and aspiring Producer. Dave along with dj Deliz hosts Damage, A weekly internet radio show on [ CJLO.com ] every wednesday from 9pm-Midnight. Dave and Deliz also form NCV, the production crew responsible for GhettoBlast, a weekly tuesday night at Saphir that ran from April 2004-March 2005. DJ [ www.finalcutmedia.com ] DJ Mr. Black has been spinning for the last 8 years with the popular "Dark Wave Nights" weekly event Friday nights at Montreal’s Club Saphir. In his style, he mixes ebm, industrial, electro, synthpop, gothic, alternative and some new wave. His sets are best described as "High Energy Dark", he often mixes older tracks along with new ones from the different genres he plays, thus, suprises are always expected in his music selection. He has spun at various events both public and private, namely the Convergence 8 event in Montreal 2002, and the Grande Masquerade Ball in Montreal 2004. DJ [ www.globalmastermindz.com ] In the DJ booth, DJ Dysklo is a perfectionist who masterfully creates tribal crescendos and heart stopping transitions. He can take a crowd on a journey that suits all styles, and his feisty personality comes through loud and clear. But his talents transcend the DJ booth and are amplified in the studio. Three years ago, he started remixing/producting in his bedroom studio and has shown that his skills are well beyond anyones expectations. All in all, this DJ/PRODUCER/REMIXER will be in a big way in the short years to come. VJ [ www.stareproductions.com ] VJ KAS is a professional digital artist and graphic designer with over 8 years of extensive experience in the field of 3D animation and digital video editing. He loves to explore the artistic possibilities using modern technology in live video mixing. He has been collaborating with many artist over the past 5 years in the production of original electronic media shows and raves. VJ KAS started VJing in 2000 and played his first live show at Hostyn 2001 outdoor festival and hasn’t stopped since. VJ [ www.athanore.com ] Athanore is a collective of conceptual art. They won the Tip of the Hat Prize 2004 and work both in Quebec and in South America in the fields of video, photo, visual anthropology and VJing. Athanore explores the human psyche and its hypnagogic imageries through a visual symbolic questioning the relationship between onirism and representation of the human body in a space and temporal reconstruction of the contemporary Man identity.  Coolness: 52950 | Sweet, this will be cool. I like theme nights, especially one like this(Death, despair, loneliness). Usually when you play dark and moody music people are like 'Can you play something more upbeat?'
