L.L. Lauzeau has reasonable prices for 120mm... I donno about the development, I do mine myself in the darkroom (altho I haven't developed 120 since I sold my mamiya C330).

You doing color or B/W?

Cool man, I know in dorval there is Photoco that do a great job on 2 1/4 film, but it's pretty pricey(and it's most likely not at your doorstep). Lauzeau is prolly one of the biggest photo stores in Mtl so they should be pretty good (you would expect) but I've never tried them out...

Neways, i'm moving to Verdun soon and will be recreating my Darkroom over there so if ever you need some darkroom time you are more than welcome... I find I don't use it enough so it always makes me feel better if atleast someone does...

Buy film online! You can get great deals on recently expired freezer-stored film in 5-packs on ebay all the time. Try cross processing some and you can get some really tripped out results. Remember to overexpose like two stops or so and pay someone who does not have their head up their ass to do the processing.

If you like black and white you can get fomapan for next to nothing, it has a very nice grain, I like it better than TRI-X anyways. Above all its cheap cheap cheap. Hmmm I am sure there are other eastern european and Chinese stocks which must be cheap as well. It may be worth looking into the availablity of Lucky (China) or Tamca/Svema (Russia) films.

As for processing if you find anyone who is competent and affordable let me know. Most labs I have delt with either have no clue/cant be bothered....ggrrrr

*brap! brap!

i've had my eyes on the lomo series for a while and got the Holga cameras as an impulse purchase to document my trip
if you heard of them you'll know that they're imperfect anyways
so i'll look into what i could find on ebay
sofar at 6$ a pop i'm sure glad i don't have a smoking habit to support also

i'm using 6"x6" exposure
just cause it'll look cool (i think...?)
lauzau only does 4x5 and 5x5
whatever

lucy stepped on a dead seagull IN THE PRAIRIES

my greatest accomplishment this summer:
walking from east hastings, across stanley park, across the lionsgate bridge, all the way up lonsdale in north vancouver
4 hours of sleep and a hike up lionshead the next day

No prob senior funk,

Yeah I think your right about Lauzeau, 6x6 is a little hard to find, but Photoco does them, so if your reeally stuck...

Have a good time over there, and make sure to cook the prairie dogs all the way through before eating them...
