Acid Question

 Coolness: 75385 | Aiight, so every time I drop acid it takes a variable period of time to kick in.. sometimes it's like.. 20 minutes.. and other times it can take as long as like 2 hours. I was just wondering what effects the kick in time, diet? Sleep? I just wanna be able to gauge because I'm supposed to be going to see Willy Wonka on acid (YES!) and don't wanna sit there in the theatre just watching a movie and then bug out in the last 2 minutes... makes sense? |

some people say it kicks in faster if you smoke a joint after you drop the acid. but know that whatever happens with acid is always perfect, that's the magic of it. anyways... if your acid doesn't kick in the two hours a movie lasts... i think chances are it won't work at all. have a good one! :) |

all the things I ever heard was that it ain't acid at all and that some people have cooked their dick taking that shit. someone near from where I live took some and WASN'T THE SAME anymore... and not in a good way.. like he became skyzophrenic and all this shit... my brother also took this with his friends and they ALL badtripped so I said to myself I ain't never gonna touch that shit.. like I'm gonna smoke crack before I take this crap. u kno? |

I mean.. barring something seriously going wrong, I don't think there's a single drug that'll destroy you in a single go.. at least, not if it's taken in moderation... like a hit of e isn't going to rape your system.. but then when you see people hitting double digits with the shit.. hyperthermia becomes A REAL concern, and they start pushing fevers and stuff. |

 Coolness: 37010 | lsd (if your lucky enough that your blotter is actual acid,in mtl that is)is definitly not a drug you want to be doing every week,in fact some people believe that the threshold is around 20 to 25 hits in a lifetime,which is more than enough,like most mind-altering substances,it's kinda like playing russian roulette with your sanity,it's only a matter of falling on a too big a dose or some krusty punks selling you rat poison on cardboard,for you to flip the fuck out,blaming the queen for cancer and yelling things about you being one with nature while running around with mud in your pockets for extra precaution.Next thing you know,you wake up a full fledged tree-hugger.sadly there is no way real way to completly prevent such events from happening,especially in large groups.I happen to have taken the chance about a handful of times,never,ever regreted a thing about it except the last hour of deep introspection that seems to hit you after the 6 first hours spent laughing at a blinking neon sign,it just pops out of nowhere,your not laughing anymore,it's all happening in your head,paranoia and illusions of grandeur.personally,i haven't been able to prevent or soften the violent down that occurs,therefore making me acid free since 2002. |

now i can't say anything about the way some people react to the truth they see. some just go crazy because they take too much and thay can't handle it, but that's their fault, thay've been looking for trouble by taking too much and thay get what they asked for. |

| Coolness: 75385 | Perfect is a pretty fucking strong word... if the world was perfect, then maybe yeah, acid trips would be perfect. But I can have a perfect headspace, and then see something wrong with the world and acid will not make it perfect, it'll make it pretty gross and icky. |

evolution is the reason why we're here, & everything makes sense, perfect. i know there are a lot of things gross and icky to this world, and these things are and we can't ignore them and the only thing we can change is our perspective on them. which is a lot of what acid does anyways. learn to enjoy everything. even pain there is a way to enjoy, in the sense that it shows us the other side of being alive. in the end all is experience, and that's what we're here for - learn and enjoy, learn to enjoy. all the pain we can see and feel is the reason we are alive - to act on it and transform it into more love. if we'd live in a world where there was only joy, there would be nothing to do, no reason to act, no reason to live. so in that sense everything is perfect. but that's my point of view, and it may change someday too. |

 Coolness: 91805 | Much depends on when and what you last ate (ie full or empty stomach). Generally speaking, taking it on an empty stomach will probably cause it to hit sooner, but these things are tough to predict. I'd take it at least an hour before the movie starts, since real acid should last at least 8 hours anyway. But make sure you're with someone who can watch you so u don't start running around the movie theatre stealing others people's popcorn or trying to talk to the characters in the movie. |

 Coolness: 92380 | I have gone to movie theatres on acid and for me at least, it is a pointless experience. I can't watch movies on acide because I'm too distracted. When I went to the theatre on acid I thought I was in the movie in a not-thinking about it kinda way. When the movie was over, I forgot the movie. I don't understand the point of movies on acid. If you ask me it's a bad idea if you would actually like to see this movie even if you were not on acid. I enjoy my acid trips better walking around outside, I like it to be all abotu the trip. I hate doign it at parties and movies or anythign liek that. |

 Coolness: 85800 | at this point in time, i much prefer the occasional acid trip to shroooms- it never used to happen, but the last 8 times on shrooms (2001-2003) have gradually been getting worse and worse- somewhere between digesting it (i don't like feeling sick while i'm starting to trip) and i can't stop thinking about the wrong things.. (death, mortality and such)
on acid i feel more in control. it's more about visuals and tripping the fuck out, at least for me. shrooms carry to much mental baggage or something and on acid, i find i can actually focus my attention to get things done (uhhh kite flying, music, stopmotion, tripped out marker drawings) though acid is very unpredictable.. sometimes a half a hit can be more than 4 hits of other stuff, so always test it in small quantities, and make sure you know someone who has tried the same batch- |

 Coolness: 69515 | i did tons of acid in my teens...had a blast tho, wouldn't want to do it now, it makes u reflect on things, and i dont want to reflect...it was good back then, when i was a teen, no that im an ADULT, i'd stick to my 20 or so joints i smoke a day, and the occasional e and speed............but acid wus my fav, its sooo fun, shrooms i hate they make me think too much. every fuckin time i took it i back tripped(and i did lots)so no more shroomies 4 me. |
