Leaving Ireland in his mid teens to seek his fortune in London...While squatting and working there he met a hippie friend who while burning incense and other aromatic herbs introduced him to the mystical world of India and of Goa with photos of temples, holymen, monkeys, full moon beach parties and tapes with strange electronic music. Intrigued, he and some friends saved some wonga and headed off to check it out in the winter of '89. Upon his return after having his mind blown over there things were never quite the same again. He left London and returned to Ireland to live in a cave. Not finding a suitable cave to plug in his stereo he settled for a thatched cottage (with electricity) in the wild boglands of the west and was there in the early '90s when the psychedelic outdoor party vibe first swept across Europe. While there he got into having parties at the cottage and had his first go at Djing, got some good reactions to the music and went on to play at outdoor festivals such as the infamous looney line solstice parties in Tipperary, Ireland in '94 and in '96 was given a bunch of tunes by TIP records to bring to and play in Australia. While in Oz he scored some gigs at festivals such as earthstomp, earthdance, the cave raves and numerous other events on the west coast with regular excursions to Goa, India and Bali over the years. More recently Psy Baba has returned from the east coast of Oz having played at outback eclipse festival and exodus where he managed to leave even the most seasoned doofers, with big smiles. Psy Baba's obsession with collecting and playing music has led him to deservedly become well respected amongst psy trance circles as he continues to consistently serve up very well put together sets of fresh and uplifting ethno techno sounds.
