| im deffinetly not for the budget cuts, but there is no way in hell that i'm gonna let it affect my semester.
my school is voting to go on strike for 3 weeks. if so, we lose our semester.
if 200 000 students have been on strike for over 5 weeks off, and the goverment hasnt budged, i doubt our measly 3 weeks would do jack shit.
i'll protest my ass off and wear solidarity squares, but in no way do i want to lose my semester. |

| I just read that in over the past 40-years, there have been many strikes where the gov't doesn't budge.
It would suck academic balls if the students lost a semester for nothing!
But it would be a joke for the gov't, all the students would have to pay another year of tuitions under the loans and bursaries program, plus they would get second choice, after all the students comming from CEGEP and Secondary school. |
