I mean, there has to be a sense of decency, and some kind of organisation. Most of these promoters now dont have venues and are still selling their tickets, and busting Jack's balls for something they should have looked a little deeper into, or just looked a couple of weeks later to throw their party.
Im all for diversity, but this is common sense. |

 Coolness: 134265 | Competition is a good thing ,it motivates the promoter to make his event better than the next man's,which may not be viable for the promoter but very much so for the people who go.
If there was no competition you have a better chance at showing up at a shitty party ,cause the promoter doesnt put much effort into things because he know's he has the gauranteed audience. So i say throw as many as possible on the same day,and may the best man win. |

But there's healthy competition and unhealthy competition. Plus, not everyone is motivated by the same thing. competition doesn't motivate everyone indefinately. written by regimental911 Competition is a good thing ,it motivates the promoter to make his event better
...could be replaced with co-operation is a good thing, it motivated the promoter to make his event better... |

dont get me wrong, competition is a good thing I agree, and 2-3 parties on the same I couldnt care less but since everyone relies on the same guy to book them a venue, and they know 3 other parties are on the same date, its not really smart to throw a party without knowing where you'll be doing [ it...ca ] then you rush, and with the competition, you tend to make a sloppier party... |

and we should do more partys with 2 rooms to get more diversity. Like the good old days Now Promoters should look at the [ rave.ca ] calendar before booking dates. But some dont come here to check it out, well in that case I say, too bad for them!!! |
