Real Independant Film Festival (RIFF)

Is planning on presenting an socio-political film festival here -in our more tolerant cultural hub, known as- Montreal.

Basically, what it is i'm asking for, is if it is possible for any cinema &/or communications students or correspondents to aid promote this more than established organization on their plans for informing Montrealers, and citizen nationwide, on recent North American political agendas, through independant documentaries.

I had first recognized this group on my trip to Edmonton. They, unfortunatly, had all their screenings of independant films on the weekend of my departure. So by comminucating through email, I gained the understanding that were planning a tour, that just so happend, to pass through our fair city.

So!

If anyone is intersted on trying to aid this grassroots type clic on promoting political screenings based on relevant topics, contact me thorugh PM or email me at 'bluntfv89@hotmail.com'

Or for a more serious contact, check their official website: [ www.boilingfrog.ca ] for more information.

To give a basic idea on what type of subjects they'll be confronting, here is an excerpt from their site concerning the RIFF (Real Independant Film Festival):

There are many factors contributing over time to the heat that give us the boiling frog effect. The slow, incremental progress of our destruction condition us to believe that things are not all that bad. Taken in context over time, and in totality, it becomes clear that we are facing the demise of not only our human civilizations, but the entire bio-sphere we call Earth. Boilingfrog kicks off the EARTHonPEACE tour Dec 28. join us, help us, we're still seeking additional sponsors and endorsements

(the excerpt came from posting dated before NYE 2005)
