De l’électronique au jazz, l’artiste britannique Matthew Herbert est un touche-à-tout audacieux et brillant qui aime bousculer les acquis et susciter la reflexion. Au fil des dernières éditions du festival MUTEK, le public montréalais a pu se familiariser avec différentes facettes de son génie. Nous sommes heureux d’accueillir, en première nord-américaine, Plat du jour, une nouvelle expérience sonore et visuelle qui porte un regard illuminé sur la nourriture. Showman de première, Herbert s’entoure pour l’occasion de musiciens et d’un chef cuisinier, déconstruisant sur scène les sons et les odeurs de notre rapport quotidien aux aliments.
