 Coolness: 35980 | sometimes it is easy to see how certian peoples of the world see time cyclicly rather than linearly. like how every god damn week i get drunk and loose my keys or wallet or bankcard or how that same dj was playing 8 years ago when the monkey ran through the parking lot.
or hardcore. hardcore make me feel like time is an illusion, that really life is just a hallucination and what i really want out of it is a bunch or really loud and annoying thumping in my head. so anyways. hi. my names ben. im a dj. i guess. i`ve never quite delved into the world of the montreal rave scean excpet for trying to have parties outside from time to time. but i saw noah the other night at a good party and he reminded me he still has this ravewave thing so here i am. or, well. i dunno. i guess a few of you have heard me play, seams wheneve i go out i meet someone who demand to know when i play next even though the last time they saw me was years ago. so i dunno. how about halloween? the idea is... well. apparently there is some sort of movie being made. but i think i convinced them we should have a outdoor halloween rave party. on the ils st helen. sunday night. proabaly a lot of hardcore. maybe if you want to be involved contact me, but it is going to be cold so we have to be agressive, you know? i will post the actual location sometime and maybe talk more about it if anyone seams to care. also i have a new mix i made for the vilage clubs, its all electro trance italodisco stuff and not hardcore at all but hey im versitle. so i will trade that with anyone who is interested. you nefarious pal, ben sokos |

well might as well be on saturday. so it is. i went and saw the spot and it is the best god damn out door spot i have ever seen. a roof! a real fucking roof. no worries about rain. yeah saturday. as crazy as possible. proformence art totally welcome, especially if it involves naked or blood or... well. i dunno. lets not hurt ourselves too badly but it is halloween, eh? ben |

I was a extra for Sum of All Fears, and the scene was a night shoot in a bloody cold still winter March. it musta been like -30 degrees. Everyone had layers and layers of clothes. There was this mad wind and it blew snow off the buildings. It was so freaking cold, all the backround people were huddling around the FX fire. "we don't care if the buildings is on fire and the flames flare out 2 meters long, we are freaking cold". Then on another night, not only did we have freezing rain, but the production had fake snow blowing in our faces. yeah real fun. |

of course i only mean that metaphoricly. yeah that it, just an off hand idle compairison to our dionysian nature. really because halloween is symbolic of our yearly fall into darkness, where spirits manifest themselves. for sure. i didnt really mean bring acid, i ment something about the soul. anyway, there is a roof. basicly as long as its not a full force hurricane blowing through, we can stay dry. and really the cold just serves to make sure that the only people who come really want to be there. yeah, you see, thats why this is so disorganized too. yes, that is the metaphorical meaning of the total lack of information. i didnt encourage drug use and we are totally on top of things. but i guess... well. all we really had planned so far was that there would be music. and like colin said we do need like rituals and stuff. it is halloween after all, we should be a little frightened. so, in a metaphorical sense, i guess im saying that maybe we dont need costumes we can just really be ourselves and that should scare the bejesus out of us. or atleast be really funny. a bunch of people outside, observing there unconscious. in coats. with hardcore. apparently. sometime "soon" i will put a map to this place, bikes are best we think and vaugly right now i could say it is sorta near that big metal statue thing on the ils st helen. so soon no more metaphores, and i will make sense for sure. yeah, really. dionysis is "just a figment of our imaginations" and not running loose in the streats and allys. cats cant read your mind. thats not true. |
