I seriously don't understand why nobody posted the news earlier and let everyone know what happened instead of hiding it and not talking about it.

Saying that it's not appropriate to put it online is pure bullshit coz this is exactly the way to let everyone know what happened and not wait 2 months to find out because most of us did know him.

You got your priorities all messed up

well its more like Jason's closest friends job to decide wheter this is to be explicated in details on a public board or not ...

should be done since peeps care and ask about it

but not by any random person that knowed him just abit like myself ..

I'm not talking about going into details, only what happened.

How would you feel if you just passed away and that your friends find about it only 3-4 months later and miss your funeral when they could have found it out within 1-2 days max.

And cybervamp played a role in our scene, so it doesn't concern only his friends, but his fans, the people who liked what he played, the people who went to parties, let them know who this man was, don't just let him fade away like that after all the years he spent with us.

Not saying anything about his unfortunate death is a sign of disrespect in my eyes.

Because of comments like that?

Because people on the internet have a different attitude about subjects and shouldnt be presented turned into gossip by those with such an attitude.

Yes people should know but it doesnt have to be "announced" on a public message forum. We have telephones, cell phones email, msn..

I lost someone I loved last year and I didnt find out until a couple of months later. I still lost the person, I was still able to go give my respects to him.

Flekstah is right. Half baked, was it really that hard to just write that? this gets made into a controversy when a simple death notice could have quelled everything.

i felt that somehow cyber deserved a public eulogy.. someone to step up and say some words in his memory.. i wont even pretend to have been friends with him, i barely knew him, but i know he was a good friend to lots of people on this board... not that somebody should be forced to come out and speak or write if they don't feel like it, but don't disregard, or devalue, the message board by saying it's no place for things like that, i think it's a great place.. it's a communal space where you can step out and say anything you want, be it sad, happy, angry, whatever, and it will not only help you feel better, for having expressed yourself, but might educate others and eventually make the world a better place or something.

i don't know, once again, where i'm going or what i'm talking about.. this is a highly sensitive matter, but as such, i don't think it needs to be swept under the carpet or anything. big love to everyone out there, past, present and future, postivity, hope, perseverance, all that shit for real.
