 Coolness: 36935 | hey all ... this is the last time i'll be posting about stupid broken events, so appreciate it and read it twice just in case. this thursday (june 24th) is gonna be a ripper at blizzarts for three different reasons ...
first, it's my last time djing and drinking obscene amounts of vodka in montreal. i'm movin out west on sunday and won't be back for quite some time (shed a tear of joy or a tear of sadness, either way it'd be nice if you'd cry for me). come buy me drinks and see me throw up. second, BONAFIDE, a new live PA hiphop/house/electro/breakbeat group will be performing at blizzarts from 11:30 to 12:15 ... the group consists of 3 people: vocalist, MC, gadget guy. their beats are sick and the MC sounds like slick rick. not sure if any of you know gavin but he's the producer/gadget guy and he's been working hard on this for months. third, THE MOLE, mutek madman and turntable extraordinaire will be DJing with us. colin has made some of the best music i've ever heard (overstatement but it is really good music) and he's one of the trickiest DJs on the planet earth. he's gonna be doing a breakbeat/electro-centric set, with the usual dosages of mindfuck minimalism and glitchy fuckiness. in my opinion those are three good reasons to come to our night. i'd start a roll call but i'd hate to have to slander a bunch of you if you didn't show up. just keep in mind that thursday will be a really good night and it'd be nice to see some of you. cover will be 4 or 5 bucks. email me for reduced guestlist which will get you in for 2 or 3, but keep in mind that emailing me will just make you look like a cheap bastard.
