We are just gonna keep going and going and going this week....strictly bombs for your ass, more tunes coming this thursday AND friday so keep it locked.

[DRUM & BASS]

Various - Sektor 6 EP on Advanced.
This was supposed to be in last week but got lost in the shuffle. Half hard and half soft make this an EP for everyone. Digital tears the roof of the place with 'No Reality' using the classic sample that the RAM boys made famous. Commix back that choon up with pure liquid funk on 'Lights Go Out'. Total Science show us why they run 'tings once again with 'Finding Nemo' and you can flip that for Ill Logic & Raf's 'No More Words'. Smooth as buttah!

Various - Hardware Chronicles Vol.3 on Renegade Hardware.
That guy Various...he's pretty good eh? Enough with the fun stuff....this EP is striclty for the headstrong. The long awaited Chase & Status Remix of Future Cut's '20/20' is here! Flip it for the also highly anticipated 'Espionage' from down undah's finest, Bulletproof. So that was the good news. Bad news is the second record would make a better ashtray I'm afraid. Technical Itch AND Universal Project come with some scary yet frankly lackluster performances. However the first disc is still essential....so guess what? We're all screwed.

Mayhem & Impulse - Chamber/Rob F - Loudmouth on Shadow Law.
Two out of these three producers have actually played in Montreal! Yessss....we're on the right track people. Loudmouth is my pick here and it rock my socks. I would now like to announce that Montreal (or maybe just stabba's house) is the new capital of Neurofunk.

Ok i'm stopping now because it's 10,000 degrees outside. Need.......cold......beverage.

Nimi, I think he was reffering to the tune on the DOA Label...it's by Fresh and it's called Floodlight. We'll have that in stock tomorrow believe it or not. But for now, as promised....

[DRUM & BASS]

High Contrast - Twilight's Last Gleaming/Made It Last Night on Hospital.
Unless you've been living under a rock, no wait, even if you were living under a rock, you probably would have heard the wicked vocal in this tune blaring from Nimi's mp3 player. Both sides of this tune will have you crying tears of joy. Hell, my mom just bought 2 copies. Have you heard????.......

Total Science + Baron - Monkey See Monkey Do (Baron RMX)/Q Project - Nightmoves (Clipz RMX) on CIA Limited.
Badass bass from the CIA limited camp can only be a good thing. Very limited run of some very hot remixes on this one. 'Monkey See Monkey Do' you'll recall launched Baron's self titles imprint not too long ago, and he's returned the collaborative favour with a remix of epic proportions. Flip for Clipz' reworking of another big TS favorite.

Orion - Time Stands Still/Tee Bee Remix on Subititles.
Before the next part of the Future Prophecies album drops, Subtitles brings you some new talent. Orion has been rocking shit in The Netherlands on a more 'Intelligent D&B' tip for some time now. Featuring excellent longing vocals from Jadis, the original of this tune will smooth out anyone's set. Flip for Tee Bee's devastating twist...and you've got yourself a delishiously sinister record, with 2 tunes that suit any occasion.

Pascal - The Playaz Lounge EP on True Playaz.
I was hoping this double-pack wouldn't be one of those things with only one good track on it, like I've been used to seeing. And thank god I was not dissapointed....Ram's Moving Fusion step up to remix Pascal's biggest classic 'P-Funk' tune and work it into the biggest thing since....since the original! Mc Fats features prominently on this ep saving it from being just filler. It's been a while since we've heard from Pascal, but a welcome return.

Various - Renegade Rollers 4 on Renegade.
I was a little worried when I saw this hit my shelves, cuz the last one stunk up the joint. Call this the week of pleasant surprises. Junior Cartel dorp their best yet with 'Visionary Dreamer', but the real hit has to be 'Can't Take It' from boy wonders Basic Oprations. Is there anything they can't do? Hold Tight and Insiders round off this EP with some funky works.

Q Project - All Planned/Last Man Standing on Cosmic Web.
One half of dynamic duo Total Science, Q Project holds his own dropping his standard dass thumping jump-up madness.

Leon Switch & Kryptic Minds - Kontakt/Nine Lives on Defcom.
Think Tech Itch in a REALLY bad mood.

Round two...DONE! Check back tomorrow for more kickass vinyl.

Peace,

Corey

As promised...round three is here! Get reasy to wet your pants.

[DRUM & BASS]

Fresh - Floodlight/Tomb Raider on Dogs On Acid.
With names like Grooverider and Fresh reppin' this label you know you can buy this twelve blind. The fact that it is the first release on what will be a very big label means it's an instant classic. The fact that it's been on dub for almost a year means you've been waiting for LONG time....and have to have it. You know what? I'm feeling kind of grimey........ok, i'm done. Now just try mixing it!

Optiv - Geiger/Outside World on Random.
After selling out of this record in what seemed like milliseconds, I thought that mayyyyyybe it would be a good idea to order it one more time. The brains behind Cause 4 Concern drops it like it's hot on New Zealand's Random Recordings. Not to be missed.

Technical Itch VS Kemal - The Calling VIP on Moving Shadow.
There's not much to say about a tune this big and well-reknown...how do you top an anthem? Simple...have the original producers go in the studio and tell them to do it all over again! Phenomenal intro, now with more vocals from the incomparable MC Jakes, leading you to a second drop, stripping everything down, and building it right back up again to a climactic spastic inferno of arpeggiated tech-madness. Did I miss anything?

Various - Biological Warfare [Genesis] on Outbreak.
Ok so here's how it works...this first double-pack features original works by some of the scene's biggest heavy-hitters, the second one's got remixes of Outbreak classics done by some very big talent....let me give you a better idea:
Loxy & Verse - North Star
Future Prophecies - Voice Of Loneliness
Resonant Evil - Black Zodiac
Counterstrike - Can't Let Go

Various - Biological Warfare [Rebirth] on Outbreak.
You gettin' the picture yet?
Faith In Chaos - Posession (Tech Itch RMX)
Resonant Evil - Wrench (Raiden RMX)
Dylan & B-Key - Freak It (Friction & Nu Balance RMX)
Dylan & Damage - Bass Kick (Dylan & Mason RMX)

Garon - E Nomine Padre/Ben Sage - Open Your Eyes on Magic Vinyl.
What's up with a German label signing mostly North-American talent? Wicked. Hailing straight outta London, Ontario Ben Sage rocks my socks off with a heavy yet melodic stomper, and that's just the b-side! Garon keeps his image as diverse as possible with a very dark choon for the late-night massive. Both tunes are high in quality and low in monotony.

Topcat - Original Ses (Police In Helicopter)/Tribe Of Issachar - Yes Selectah on Congo Natty.
If you don't own this record you are not a true junglist. Just ask Krinjah. Or Mayday. Or R-Cola. Or Jack Beetz. Or.......you get the idea.

Drumsound & Simon Bassline Smith - The Odyssey/Body Movin on Prototype.
That's right you read correctly, Prototype is back! After a 2 year break, Grooverider revives his label and hits us with what will surely be one of many massive bombs. The Odyssey has been on dub since Junglist Fridays were Soundclash Fridays. Definetly an 'opener' if you know what I mean.

Ok that's it! See you monday....

Corey
