WELFARE-RECIPIENT DRUG TEST A JOKE

I just read how state government is finally going to listen to the
voters and drug-test those on welfare ("Welfare recipients face drug
tests," Wednesday).

Oh, wait a minute. Gotta read the fine print. Oh, forget it! It says
we've first gotta ask 'em if they do drugs.

We're only going to test those who have admitted drug use. Makes a
whole lotta sense to go ahead with the testing, doesn't it?

Typical American politics. Nobody ever thought to actually do drug
testing on everyone collecting a welfare check? Lawmakers don't wanna
go there.
