The music were similar in both places(Techno, trance, electro ect) and clubbers where more open-minded in that time. So old ravers and old clubbers are getting together pretty good. Since last years, both scenes have take different roads, so getting along is more complex for the new generations. Also, the club scene of todays are less open-minded and have their "attitude".

I think Databoy has a point tho, back int the 90s, it was the same problem, ppl were all so impressed with this underground rave scene they had just discovered that they wanted it to remain the same forever, same old shit, they made fun of clubbers, they laughed at Ray Junior and his kétaine events that attracted a bunch of pitounes en tracksuits Adidas... I was probably one of those pretentious people too at some point who was jugemental with clubbers, but today I realize that it doesnt make a fucken difference because if I go out, I dont give a shit about how ppl are dressed or what the place looks like, I'm not gonna get trashed either so as long as the music is good and you're in good company, why the fuck care?

EXACTEMENT!

I've got no problem with clubbers at raves and raves at clubs. It takes all kinds to make a world right. That being said, the day I start seeing Ginos/guidos going to raves and fist pumping and what not is the day I start touting around a shotgun and blasting their fake tanned heads to pieces.
On another note, at which point are we going to split into two groups and start dance fighting like in the Beat It music video?
I'm feeling like blazing a trail right now.. |
