no, because you will start thinking to "gain" more or "trim" less , when its just a physical concept.
idea is to know it all and use it at your advantage, make u enjoy the mix a whole lot more it think. so you concentrate on platter rotation , and see the volume increment in bewteen cues as a headphone circuit glitch.

Sounds like you're too much DJ for a bedroom mixer xD i dunno about that but, if i would have the chance to start over again 10 years ago, i'd have avoided that mixer as it caused me more trouble's than fun.

Vestax are my 2nd favorite mixers (the Xone being the top)
metal knobs that don't just fly off when you sneeze on them is a major bonus over every other mixer out there, and the Samurai mixers are the best you're gonna find for scratching.

i like vestax too.
i used to use a pmc-17 and was scratchin' on the 05 and mix tick for a while. and all 3 were fuckin' solid as hell an built like tanks. personally i'd rather scratch on a vestax than a rane even. mainly because of the weight and feel of the fader. but really, the only complaint i've ever heard about vestax was regarding how loud the fader clicks are. maybe i'm just weird... but i also prefer the feel of the fader on the regular 05 than the samurai edition.

The fader is the main problem on mine, but then there was a recall on it (PVC-375). Effects sends are a joke as they dont actually create a loop, they just double the channel gain.. somehow.. I've never heard anything good about PVC's though, maybe i just picked the wrong series ><
I'm feeling gettin more ink soon right now.. |

there the one the day they start goofin off, you just spray lube inside and there bran new again, the "normal brush type carbon contact fader" will work, but will be 50% effective at most, and carry damage scars
