This seems to be the only record store anyone talks about, and when I've gone I can't find any of the records I'm personally looking for. Granted I am looking mostly for IDM and Breakcore but it still bums me out that there's no more Esoterik years after the fact. Is Nice Music truly the only good record store in town? Nobody recommends anything else!

I have seen some at Da Muzz in the reduced bins....But they moved i am not sure where i have their number 514-524-6899. U may want to call and ask for their new location and if they kept any of those bin vinyls....

how oldskool are you looking for? Paul's Boutique on mont royal and Popshop on st.laurent has some 90s stuff... The shops on st.denis are always good (Beatnick, Primitive, and that other one) if you ever find a place that has 80s hiphop... PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ --> let me know!!! :D |

Not really when i go buy records i still see alot of peeps buying records...The more independant record stores have closed the ones where u pay 25$ for a vinyl i mean come on! Like the one on mont royal i think it was MEM records. In beat is really good for a variety of music they have alot there...hip hop not so much but i seen a section of garage music there so they have variety....

MEM's basement was a goldmine... I'm still bummed out about that place being gone. I pulled some ridiculous records out of there, and most of 'em were less than $2...
For the most part, prices on new vinyl have more to do with what distributors are charging than they do with overhead in the stores. Cheap Thrills is on Metcalfe, btw.. |

I have "not so oldschool":
* Public Enemy - You're gonna get yours * Nas - Illmatic * Nas - Rule * Gangstarr - Full Clip, a Decade of Gangstarr * Wu Tang Clan - Hidden Chambers Vol. 2 * Some track from the movie Do The Right Thing I would'n mind giving 'em away
