PARTNERS IN ADDICTION

Wetaskiwin Times Advertiser Editor:

Hard work produces results, no doubt. But working together produces
great results.

In an effort to promote our motto "live life addiction free" the
Wetaskiwin Community Solutions Substance Abuse Awareness committee
recently hosted a video presentation and put together a booklet on
substance abuse.

Neither of these efforts would have been possible without the
considerable efforts of two community-minded groups.

QE junior high not only opened their doors for us to host our video
presentation Six Common Questions Parents Ask About Drugs, their
caretaking staff went above the call of duty, helping us put chairs
away and reorganizing the school's common gathering room.

The Wetaskiwin Times Advertiser also took their commitment to serve
their community seriously by agreeing to publish a special supplement
on substance abuse just in time for National Addictions Awareness
Week, Nov. 20 to 26.

It is only through the Times and the community-minded advertisers who
were able to purchase advertising in this booklet that we were able to
bring this valuable document to the door of every family in town, as
well as to readers in the surrounding area.
