So what is James Blake then? What is King Midas Sound? What is Martyn? What is Ramadanman? What is Shakleton? What is Eskmo? Because the only thing referenced when discussing "dubstep" so far is brostep and shit we might as well call pop-step. Hate on wobble all you want, it's incredibly effective in all its cross-genre abuse. But dubstep isn't brostep. Dubstep is a massive community of producers that work within such a large variety of genres that it's something entirely new and intellectual and progressive in it's purest nature. That community may not resemble what dubstep was when it started soon after the turn of the century at the first glance but it has carried the progressive mentality forward.
