I've never quite understood that concept. Improvement relative to what? Humans are tiny little flecks of cosmic dust, our capacity to experience reality is limited. We don't really know the nature of the universe, and maybe Neoform is right, it might be impossible for us to answer a question like yours (though by no means does it mean they shouldn't be asked).

We view the universe with our human senses, yet maybe the true form of the universe can only be experienced in whole through senses we don't have. Under those other senses, the universe might reveal itself to behave in ways we were never even aware it could. Maybe if we were to experience the universe through the eyes of some Grey Poupon Fed Stupidstupids on the other side of the cosmos... we'd realize that time, space and all that might not even exist, that they might be nothing more than the aftereffects of whatever the universe is really doing. Who know's ;)
