nooooooooooooo, a cows lips and asshole are still fully considered beef. I don't think you can make a hot-dog with just normal parts anyways and to be honest, it just wouldn't taste as good. That's what a hot-dog IS. In fact if McDonalds decided to put eyeballs in their burgers it would give them full license to refer to their burgers as 100% beef instead of 100% Beef, but eyeballs are apparently more expensive anyways.

Actually most of the hotdog stands in New York sell Hebrew National hot dogs which are in fact kosher all-beef dogs, unfortunately they're slightly more expensive than their non-kosher miscelaneous-meat competition but they're definitely worth paying a bit extra for

Yes, you ALSO said that 100% Beef is a company; It isn't. Read the whole thing.

If you really have your doubts about this one, check out the ingredient lists on the McDonald's web site. All of their hamburgers are made from "100% beef patties"; furthermore, they define "beef patty" as being "100% pure USDA inspected beef; no additives, no fillers, no extenders." This means exactly what it says. When the USDA grades beef, they grade beef — they don't allow beef marketers to use the word as if it merely meant "cow parts."

Hamburger:
Beef Patty, Regular Bun, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle Slices, Onions (Dehydrated), Grill Seasoning
Cheeseburger:
Beef Patty, Regular Bun, Pasteurized Process American Cheese, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle Slices, Onions (Dehydrated), Grill Seasoning
Double Cheeseburger:
Beef Patty, Regular Bun, Pasteurized Process American Cheese, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle Slices, Onions (Dehydrated), Grill Seasoning
Quarter Pounder®+:
Quarter Pound 100% Beef Patty*, Sesame Seed Bun, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle Slices, Slivered Onions, Grill Seasoning
Quarter Pounder® with Cheese+:
Quarter Pound 100% Beef Patty*, Sesame Seed Bun, Pasteurized Process American Cheese, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle Slices, Slivered Onions, Grill Seasoning
Double Quarter Pounder® with Cheese++:
Quarter Pound 100% Beef Patty*, Sesame Seed Bun, Pasteurized Process American Cheese, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickle Slices, Slivered Onions, Grill Seasoning

it says 100% Beef Pattty, which is then followed by a *. If you'll scroll down and look at the legend, the star is not cited. I dunno where you see real beef anywhere.

They use the star thing incorectly on the site. Rather than have the star at the bottom of the page, it's in the entry for the patties themselves. If you scroll down a little and read, you would find this:

Quarter Pound 100% Beef Patty:
100% pure USDA inspected beef; no additives, no fillers, no extenders. *Based on the weight before cooking 4 oz. (113.4g).

The * is only added on the quarter pound patties, because it represents an addendum to the weight.

oh, okay you're right about McD's, but whether cow parts are considered beef and what they put in hot-dogs is is still pending.

ya i dunno about the ones in NYC dude. i just got back and had one...i was honestly disapointed.

but common guys, what the FUCK do you think is in a Lafleurs or a Belle Pro's?
the dirtiest shit ever, nothing you would ever want to see before they grind em up and shape em
mechanically seperated beef, pork, chicken, rat, racoon and whatever else falls in

if you want the 'safest' go to a hebrew deli or butcher. at least it's the most 'decent' parts that don't make the cut in other forms.

Yeah, let's go support the guys who kill the animals by hanging them upside down and slitting their throat so that they bleed to death! I may eat meat (and love it!) but that's just a sick and cruel way of doing things.

and clubbing or shocking them to death is the best way?

maybe we should use bullets? or how about poison? there's no good way to slaughter animals, just as long as we don't see it's ok
