| Now that Steven Harper is in power the thought of pot being decrimalized has gone out the freaking window.
It is funny that the USA has been a huge protestor for keeping the law in place...where as with some of the states they have decrimalized pot smoking(that is say if you get caught smoking a j you will not get 14 years in jail...just less time)

| Whatever.. I actually had this big long conversation with a cop about decriminilizing... and he said that it was actually a pretty good thing for us that it wasn`t. Basically, what he said was that 9 times out of 10 the cops don`t give a shit if you`re smoking up because its such a pain in the ass to deal with the legal side they just let it slide. The only reason they`ll bother nailing you for possesion is if you`re up for other charges too. So basically, they don`t care if you and friends are smoking up in an alley because you`re not bothering anybody (if there`s a complaint or you`re in plain sight bla bla, different story). However, if they decriminilized, they`d replace the criminal charge with a fine (that`s often brushed over when they talk about decrminilizing), like a parking ticket. They still don`t want you to do it, you just won`t go to jail (it won`t be a criminal offense). So then, when the cops see you and your friends standing in a circle passing a joint, instead of just driving by and not caring, they`ll pull over and write up a handful of tickets to you and your crew. Doesn`t sound too fun to me... |
