I just ate all my pencils. Check out this guy's artwork. His name is Tuna Ferit Hidayetoglu. He's a medical illustrator and art-drawing teacher from Turkey.

description;
Another shading exercise with Milla,
I didn't use any photoshop effects (blur, layer, brush), completely handmade drawing.
Original size A4, this artwork took my 22 days.
It's measurement is identical with the original photo.
Materials: 2B, 7B, charcoal pencil and ruler.

i'm totally astonished, flabbergasted. Knock off my seat, jaw on the floor, in awe.

you can check his other artworks here;

This is another elite artist... simply wow. Her name is Diane Özdamar (from France). Her gallery is here;

a self-portrait of her. (she's a babe)

description;
This one is a self portrait as a vampire (inspired by the egyptian mythology...) . I've started it with a mirror but it was too long, so I've continued with a bad photo (not exactly the same pose, but it has been very useful for the shading).
No refs used for the hair, jewelry, snake....
18 hours
2H, 2B and 5B pencils
A4 paper

note about pencils

Many pencils, particularly those used by artists, are labelled on the European system using a scale from "H" (for hardness) to "B" (for blackness), as well as "F" (for fine point). The standard writing pencil is "HB". However, artist's pencils can vary widely in order to provide a range of marks for different visual effects on the page.

Dman that is good. Regardless of what kind of pencils he uses, he has a really even hand, those textures are flawless.

but those, what do you call them "neo-realism" or soemthing, paintings are just freaky though how real they are with the colour. Def worth checkign out if oyu are impressed with this.

yeah but then it looks like a picture. and if its gonna look like a picture then u might just as well take a picture. no doubt it takes a lot of technique and talent to do this. but its lacking one thing and i think its the essence of anything revolving around the word "art":
creativity.

I'm sorry but even trying to remotely bash this piece of work is an understatement. You try to replicate such intricate detail. This is VERY accurate down to every little strand of hair.

I can agree that the drawing lacks creativity, but you still have to respect and recognize the amount of talent it takes to produce a drawing like this-in pencil no less. I mean, just look at the reflection in the eyes! It's incredible!

And does that mean that a portrait artist isn't an artist? I'm fairly sure Tunaface can draw some amazing stuff that's not just copying a foto. I spelt photo wrong to look extra cool

neo-realism? i google it and it was about italian filmaking, depiction of lower class life.

I think you mean "photorealism" movement. Yea i was just impressed by this guy cuz he did it on A4 size paper. Which i find more difficult then doing the art of a 6ft canvas.
