[ www.news.com.au ] have created eerie zombie dogs, reanimating the canines after several hours of clinical death in attempts to develop suspended animation for humans.

Okay... What the fuck kind of website is that?

The links at the bottom say:
12-year old girl gets Divorce
Goats recruited to fight Brushfire

???

Anyways, if there's one thing I hate more than Zombies... it's Dogs.
Zombie-Dogs?

Now that's just to much stress in my life.

yeah i was gonna post this, but it's not really a zombie dog since the dog wasn't really dead when they did the tests.. otherwise there would have been severe brain damage occuring..

it's about putting a dog to sleep, draining it's blood, putting some other liquid in it, then reviving it with blood again.. with "apparently" no cellular damage..

And I thought all along that i'd be having nightmares... sheesh!

Well I dunno if this applies anymore but, I found a clever quote that reminded me of this article...

"All men desire to free themselves solely from death; they do not know how to free themselves from life. " -Lao Tzu

Riiiiiight, so, having no heartbeat, not breathing, and absolutely NO brain activity means your just sleeping.

Someone go wake Elvis up for me.

they kill the dog then revive it. it's different than taking a body that died hours ago abd bringing it back to life.

brain damage occurs after 4 minutes of oxygen deprevation, imagine what a few hours would do..

The dogs were clinicaly dead for *3 hours*

Well under the 4 to 12 minutes required for brain damage to occur.

ahem, they were dead for that period, yes. but that's cause they preformed their special surgery on them right away.

Jesus fucking christ. Did you EVEN READ THE PURPOSE OF THIS EXPERIMENT?

They don't want to bring the dead back to life, they want to take the DYING (as in, NOT DEAD YET) and put them in this "dead" state so that they can preform surgery on them. Say, soldiers shot, people stabbed, etc..

If someone is bleeding to death, but isn't dead yet, they could "kill" them with this procedure, fix the wound without worry of the person dying of bloodloss or recieving brain damage from the lack of oxygen or suffering tissue damage, and then bring the BACK to life once they've been fixed up.

this doesn't change that fact that they aren't dead to start off with, and therefore are not zombies.. :|

When people get bitten by a zombie, they're still alive, yet die and come back later.

fred fred fred..
tooooo many movies..

they used the term zombie to make you think of frankenstein with the whole bringing back the dead type of thing.
they're not talking about having a dog get bitten and turn into a zombie, instead they're talking about putting a dog to sleep (yes, killing it, but in a way that doesn't damage the brain) then reviving it..

not grabbing a gun blasting the dog a few times, letting it rot for a few weeks, then bringing it back to life..

If they were using the term "zombie" accuratley, they would be reviving the dogs with voodoo.

The circumstances of the death don't matter, it's the fact that they were CLINICALY DEAD for 3 HOURS with saline solution instead of blood.
