 Coolness: 201425 | yeah if people are paying for music, at least my music, I'd like to give them a lossless version of it though... Trust me, mp3 compression, even at 192, takes quite a bit away from the quality of a recording...
However some kind of a donation system would be pretty great, and I know if I got enough donations from people I actually would press music on vinyl and sell it really cheap... |

 Coolness: 44595 | wow . kinda shows most you guys dont play unreleases huh . get with the times guys . there are lots of mp3 releases that will never be on vinyl. hence more great music no vinyl dj will ever have.
quality is mint . 320 is not much different then wavs so they are playable and unmixed for dj use obviously . no offence but take your vinyl battle to an other thread. thanks :) |

Any time I'm doing anything serious, it's strictly vinyl, unless we're talking about my own tracks that I just can't afford to get dubs pressed of at the moment. I think paying for something that doesn't have any physical substance is fucking stupid. |

Way to show some solidarity for tradition. Moreover, using strictly vinyl proves that you dont steal the music. You want peeps to "get with the times"? If the time means that if you dont spin anything other than vinyl, youre no good than i dont want to have anything to do with it. Isnt a tru DJ supposed to feel the music on his fingers? Isnt a great DJ supposed to be a great turntablist? Is a DJ simply a dude who mixes the "hot" new tracks. Heres what i think of 21st Century DJing: - DJs are now machines who simply mix tracks on end without any creativity. Djs are ow being reduced to promoting the newest releases. Its like promotion now, its no longer an art. A bunch of MC marios At least vinyl safeguards turntablism. |
