Yeah I heard that the "rave crowd" (people who actually rave) is getting smaller and smaller but I still know a lot of people who still rave and love it =)

I secretly rave on the metro after all night parties.. It's funny how much the repetitive sound of the metro rolling at high speeds sounds just like rave music after you've spent 8-12 hours immersed in high decibal audio..

That's not because you spent 8-12 hours immersed in loud music...it's the speed. Standing at the corner of a street you would think the cars passing are making a beat! lol

Why is this called a rave board if nobody raves anymore? Should be [ oldraver.ca ] I started raving about a year ago and I like it. Unlike what most people here seem to be saying, I like candy kids, and I like ravers. The rave scene is something special, you find an atmosphere and people you can't possibly find somewhere else (at clubs for instance).

There's a special vibe and at a rave, everybody is linked by some kind of an invisible rope. You're all there for the same thing: the music, the people, PLUR, the drug, to be yourself and let it all out!!!

I still rave and don't intend in stopping anytime soon. It's hard to combine with school though but at least once a month. See people smiling, dancing, talking about everything and nothing with strangers, giving/receiving bracelets, feeling the music going through your body, being with people you like, see them having fun...

Peace Love UNITY & Respect

Rave forever! I'll be an old fart with a walker showing up at raves making the kids wonder what psychological disorder I must have that keeps me coming back in my old age. HEHE

I unno. My big raving era was in NYC.

things are way different there.
When you go to a rave there... you need to go with a big group of ppl. cause it's sketchy places (roller rink - Bronx, DUMBO luna-Brooklyn, etc. )

Otherwise, you stick around till the end and there's always 30-50 ppl that hangout and do an after party (ie. how I met renegade virus crew)

It got me to realy care about everybody in a group and not try to discriminate.

then I came back to Mtl.. and it was the total opposite.

But serious. It's hard for todays raver to get the same feeling. When I was raving, there wasn'T old farts still hanging out at parties cause they were stuck in a time bubble.

when I was raving, it was purely kids going wild cause everybody was thinking/felt the same way. Had the same vibe...

I stopped because that 'plur feeling' in raves is long gone. I did go to 1 or 2 in the last 2 years and i didnt see the vibe or energy of the previous era (ya i said era, because its past and done). Also, when i stopped the gang phenomena was going strong. I also felt most ravers were hypocrits and alot of them were little bitches talking behind backs, or not liking some ppl because they didnt dance well, etc, and the crowd became very judgemental. Or is it my paranoia? Probably not, because i met alot of ppl who felt the same way.

^^^I think your right^^^

But at the same time, i've been partying by myself alot lately (because my old crew sucks balls). And I find that the "vibe" you get all comes down to the people you spend your time with.

If you hang arouind jaded people, or focus your energy on how 'un-pluristic' things have become, then ofcourse, it become exactly that.

What i'm trying to say, is that my perception on the decline (or the oposite) of the scene is based on what you want (or think) you see.

I've been partying for about 3-years, and i've been through some up's and downs in this scene, but I see the potential... because I want to.
