Description:

Marikim, aka. Vj MiKiRaM, grew up in a family where art was at the forefront. Artist agents, photographers et musicians were a tremendous influence early on, and fueled her passion for music and visual arts. Having tasted myriad musical styles, she gave herself over to electronic music 9 years ago. She participated in and organized events across her home province, and her first love was the music itself until she actually stopped and observed the video projections, and subsequently understood their importance. Conceptually, she considers projections as an essential instrument to convey emotions, ambiences and states of mind in tandem with the soundscapes which inundate the venue.

In this way, she finds it inconceivable that an electronic music event not possess environments with which to support DJ’s and musicians … both arts complement each other and create sensations for partygoers, a symbiotic relationship which makes every event unique. Her art, that combines films she’s captured during her travels and creations she’s experimented with using digital tools to add textures and dimensions, come across as a hybrid of reality and absurdity. Her affinity with contrasts, and predilection to melding polar extremes, upheld by her Libra ascendance, empower her to produce visual environments signed MiKiRaM.Kode Six - Kold Fuzion
