Les vents stellaires des amas d'étoiles nouveau-nées éparpillées dans tout le nuage ont nettement modelé des contours et des cavités dans la nébuleuse. Le grand creux à droite de l'image a probablement été sculpté par le vent des étoiles du Trapèze.
