In 2004 HANGAR 18 released their critically acclaimed first full-length album, The Multi-Platinum Debut Album. Their Definitive Jux release received 4 out of 5 in Urb Magazine and was called "one of the most original albums of the year" by HipHopSite.com. Started in late 2000 by former Company Flow member, El-P, Definitive Jux Records quickly became the staple in Independent Hip-Hop.
