| Description: | On February 28th, Bar Datcha becomes a site of celebration, resistance, and release as AFT3RWE4R Live returns for a Black History Month special. Rooted in a commitment to Black, queer, and alternative nightlife, AFT3RWE4R continues its mission of reshaping Montreal’s after-dark landscape into spaces where sound and community move together. This night honours Black diasporic creativity as a living, breathing force on the dance floor. Expect an immersive sonic journey driven by bass pressure, global club rhythms, and emotionally charged selections pulling from the many lineages Black artists have carved into dance music. A night for those who come as they are, dance how they feel, and understand the dance floor as a space of freedom. Come early. Leave drenched. " Born in Queens, NY - bred in Miami, FL - by way of Les Cayes, Haiti. lanko (ee-on-ko) brings a unique knack for infectious dance rhythms to any room he plays. Well versed in a multitude of genres ranging from afrobeat, baile funk, bouyon, batida & more, lanko's speciality is melting together cultural sounds from all around the world, creating an intoxicating marriage of rhythms. Sune is a queer Nigerian DJ and producer who thrives on manipulating sound to move bodies. Fluid and fearless behind the decks, she pulls from techno, juke, Jersey club, gqom, and hyperpop, embracing contrast and energy to keep the dance floor in motion. Elizabeth Kitwanda (EKITWANDA) is a queer multidisciplinary artist and DJ of Congolese descent based in Montreal. Rooted in Pan-Africanism, her practice moves fluidly between visual art, tattooing, and sound as forms of self-expression and cultural exploration. As a DJ, EKITWANDA is known for fearless genre-blending, weaving Techno, Gqom, Hyperpop, Trap, and global electronic sounds into immersive, boundary-pushing sets. She also co-hosts Aft3rwe4r Live, an online radio platform dedicated to experimental, diasporic, and genre-defying music. 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM - SUNE B2B EKITWANDA 12:00 AM to 1:00 AM - G L O W Z I 1:00 AM to 2:30 AM - IANKO 2:30 AM to 3:00 AM - SUNE B2B EKITWANDA Background image by : Cachief Latachman.
