This instalment of Fridaze we'll be introducing to Ottawa two DJ/promoters who have been dedicated to putting on and Dj'ing at events for the EDM community in their respective home cities for years: <br />

IAN GUTHRIE (Fukhouse, Toronto) <br />
<br />
<br />
Ian Guthrie is a long-term promoter and DJ hailing from Toronto, Canada. His roots in the seminal promotional organization Transcendence led to a two year stint hosting a monthly "Fukhouse" Saturday night at the legendary Industry Nightclub. Fukhouse continues these days at Toronto's best club, Footwork, following its stay at System Soundbar. Also check out regular fukhouse radio broadcasts on [ 1groove.com ] <br />

With a career spanning over a decade, Ian has played alongside many great acts including Marco Bailey, Marco Carola, Noah Pred, Woody McBride, Patrick Turner, Adam Marshall, Jeremy P. Caulfield, Eric Downer and many many more. <br />
<br />
Ian's style is rooted in tech-house, but can occasionally swerve towards deeper techno sounds. His influences include Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Steve Bug and Jeremey P. Caulfied. Ian describes his sound as "smooth, pumping techno and tech-house." <br />

LOGAN X (Friends, Montreal) <br />
<br />
<br />
LoganX entered the Canadian club scene in 2003 as half of the DJ tag-team duo: X-Rated Nation. His busy first year of DJ'ing and helping promote parties in Montreal ended with his split from X-Rated Nation, as he began accepting more and more solo gigs - including an invitation to the San Francisco Love Parade, where he performed for over 50,000 people. <br />
<br />
Currently LoganX can be seen performing in Montreal clubs like Gravity, SAT, Velvet Club and LeChill. He is also promoting Montreal's "Friends" events, in support of upcoming local Montreal DJs, and local headliners such as Creator and Stefane Lippé. <br />
<br />
LoganX's musical style goes from Tribal House to Progressive House to Wet & Hard. He has also begun to produce his own tracks, and has plans to release original material in 2006. <br />
