The event will feature a screening of the film and live performances from Montreal Electronic Artists who contributed music to the film.  \n\nOn three giant screens the VJ’s will add visual textures to immerse the audience into the magically trippy universe of PURE\, a film that was Nominated for best Director by the Director’s Guild of Canada and was presented at festivals like Cannes Film Festival Market\, Calgary Film Festival and Festival Nouveau Cinema Montreal. \n\nOver the years the film’s director Jim Donovan and Composer / Music Supervisor Simon Wayland (DJ Guapo) have collaborated with a lot of Musicians\, DJ’s\, Labels\, VJ’s etc..\n\nThanks to these contacts the film’s incredible soundtrack was created. The music is a character in the film\, driving the story forward with 24 licensed tracks and 3 original score songs composed by DJ Guapo & Peter X. \n\nThe PURE CD features not only the best of the Montreal Electronic Scene like Misstress Barbara\, Chromeo\, Max Graham\, Quicksound\, Mateo Murphy\, Eloi Brunelle\, Nuclear Ramjet\, Jan Pienkowski and Nouveau (DJ Maus & Leo Cruz)\,  \nbut also features major international producers like Ian Pooley\, LSG\, Chris  Brann\, Suns of Arqa\, Kenji Williams and Irina Mikhailova.     \n\nDJ Guapo selected 15 songs from the film and created a continuous 74 minute DJ mix CD that will take you on a sonic journey through Downtempo World Beat\, Melodic Trance\, Electro\, Latin & Brazilian House\, Glitchy Techno and Funky Tech House.\n\nThe mix flows smoothly from the exotic sounds of tabla and sitar\, to haunting vocal melodies\, to dreamy synth textures\, booty shaking beats and quirky glitchy bleeps.\n\nIt’s the perfect CD to take you up and then ease the comedown… \nSo come join us as we dance till the wee hours…\n\n\nEVENT SCHEDULE\n\n\n7:30 PM  		\n\nScreening of the Film PURE - \nPresentation by Director & Producers.\nEntrance = $8.00.
