DESCRIPTION:The ART night concept promotes works by upcoming painters as well as exposing upcoming DJ talents. Hosted by Jan Pienkowski\, each night will bring forth a different flavour for your viewing and listening/dancing pleasure. On this inaugural night\, you will be treated to the wonderful world of Patrick Leblanc's paintings and Dave O'Brien will be joining Jan Pienkowski as the guest DJ for the night. \n\nWarning: infectious rhythms and cool art!\n\n\nArt by: Patrick Leblanc\n\nFollowing his studies in Visual Arts at UQAM\, Patrick continued to develop his art over the years through various individual and collective exhibitions. His paintings\, in a contemporary style\, are inspired by complex emotions - isolation\, daydreaming\, escapism\, memories\, etc. - generated by the unrestrained rhythm of today’s society.\n\nThe characters in his paintings\, taken from his childhood world\, are witnesses to the ambivalence between the real and surreal world\, an imaginary world where children take refuge. Although the artist imposes his personal view\, the spectator can interpret the canvases according to his/her own personal experience.
