DESCRIPTION:For the longest time\, we've been wanting to rotate some new blood into the FOCUS events at the Guvernment. The only thing holding us back from doing that is our inability to deciding just who it should be. \n\nWe've had so many people ask to play that it wouldn't be fair for us to just pick one and not the other. So\, we thought of a better solution: \n\nThe FOCUS New Blood DJ Competition \n\nHere's how it works: \n\n- On Friday\, August 19th\, the competition will begin at Footwork. \n\n- The set times will be drawn at random night before the night before. No favoritism. Each DJ will get one hour to show what he/she is made of. \n\n- To make it even fairer\, none of the competitors will be stuck with the opening slot. In a rare occurance\, FOCUS resident D-MONIC will open the night. \n\n- The winner is chosen by crowd votes. \n\nThe Prize: The winner will recieve a slot at an upcoming holiday weekend event at the Guvernment Entertainment Complex. \n\nHere Are The Competitors: \n\nThe Dirtbike Kid (OnDaFly\, Toronto) \nMiss Michie (Impure\, Toronto) \nDJ Scratche (breakbeats.ca\, Brantford) \nTaro (Make It Funky\, Toronto) \n\n\nSo Come Out And Vote! \nSupport Your Up & Comers And See What The New Breed Has To Offer! \n\n\nDate: Friday\, August 19th\, 2005 \nVenue: Footwork \n(425 Adelaide St W - 1 block west of Spadina - Entrance Through The Alley Off Brant) \n\nCover: $2.00 (No Guestlist) \n\nThis Is A 19+ Event
