DESCRIPTION: YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAA!\n\n\nDIRECTLY DRIVEN PRODUCTIONS & Ottawa's House Vetren JASON P.\nHave Come Together To Proudly Bring You...\n\n\nDIRECTLY DRIVEN HOUSE\n\nFRIDAY APRIL 8TH 2005\n\nThis Is A MONTHLY Event Which Will Be Held At ACQUA Nightclub.\n\nHEADLINING:\n\nRYAN DUNLOP (Velvet\, Surface)\n\nRyan was first introduced to the house scene in the fall of 1997 while attending Bishop's University. The first DJ to make a solid impact on him was none other than Montreal's infamous DJ LAFLECHE. Instantly\, Ryan knew what he liked - music that would "...rock a party all night long." In '98\, after attending his first big-scale event in Montreal\, "Hang the DJ\," he realized that his place was behind the decks.\n\nThe following year\, Ryan attended many nights at the now defuct Atomic Nightclub\, in his hometown of Ottawa\, Canada. Residents Joe Juarez and Martin Villeneuve\, aka MV (Yoshitoshi Records) were great influences on his musical tastes. Ranging from soulful house to tough\, banging\, NY tribal house\, these two residents\, along with the countless other international djs\, really helped shape Ryan's current playing style.\n\nThe summer of 1999 was when Ryan started djing. He began playing for his friends at parties and later at larger university venues. His desire to excel was fueled by the positive response that he received from his crowds. By the next summer Ryan's vinyl passion soon consumed him. He spent countless hours honing his mixing skills.\n\nFinally the day came when Ryan got his first residency at the Well Nightclub. This was where Ottawa got its first taste of his addictive tribal sound. Soon\, other residencies were offered to him\, including Illusions NY House Fridays\, where Ryan continued to incite the masses with his tough blend of NY house and tribal. By the time Illusions closed down in January 2002\, Ryan was playing regularly in the Ottawa house circuit\, at such clubs as the Well\, Escape\, Elysium and Daylight.\n\nSince New Years of 2003\, Ryan has been a resident at SURFACE Nightclub\, Ottawa's largest\, most respected and prolific international afterhour's establishment. Recent gigs include\; Element Afterhours in Quebec City\, MECCA in Prague Czech Republic\, CIRCUS afterhours Montreal Quebec\, CUBE in Quebec City\, and System Soundbar in Toronto. He has played alongside Canadian greats such as\; Mark Anthony\, Stephan Grondin (X-UNION)\, DJ Lafleche\, XL\, Matt Ste-Marie and Eddy Jasmin. International djs include\; Tom Stephan\, Peter Bailey\, DJ Dan\, DJ Vibe\, Low End Specialists.\n\nThese days you can usually catch him spinning a tag-set with DJ partner Joe Juarez. Their new tour "HEAVY" will touch down accross Canada in cities such as Quebec\, Montreal\, Toronto and Vancouver. Ryan's sound is rough\, sexy and raw - pounding drums and twisted beats are the mainstay of his highly energetic sets.\n\n\n\nWe Are VERY Pleased To Have Our Good Friend Ryan Headlining For Our Opening Night.\n\nCheers\n\nSessions:\n\nRYAN DUNLOP (Velvet / Surface)\n\nElliot Thibodeau Aka Dj Tyrone (Directly Driven Productions / T-N-T Productions / Synergy Canada)\n\nDj Jason Pelletier (stratagem-musik.com / dowhatchagotta.com /Stay House! / Helsinki)\n\nAllen Lawson aka Dj Al.Adocious (Directly Driven Productions)\n\n\n\n\n\nALWAYZ BUMPIN' THA FUNK .....FOR THE PEOPLE!!!!
