DESCRIPTION:SPECIAL EVENT!! \n\nOn March 13th\, 2005 SUNDAZE and Acqua Nightclub and Lounge proudly present: \n\nKF BENNER: 1/2 of Toronto’s infamous DJ tag-team\, The Dukes! \n\nIt’s been a while since this amazing talent has graced the decks for the Ottawa massive. KF has received impressive reviews when he’s visited the Nation’s Capital in the past\, both as a member of The Dukes tag-team for Synergy’s “Takeover” event at Surface Nightclub\, to an amazing solo set at Mtl & Co.’s former T-N-T Thursdays. We are most fortunate to have him with us this Sunday for an exclusive Sundaze throw-down! \n\nPlaying alongside KF are: \n\nDJ HASHEK (Gunz & Bomz\, teknoturtle.ca\, CHUO 89.1) \n\nThis man needs no introduction to Ottawa techno-heads. He’ll be closing the night for Preach at Surface on March 12th\, but for us\, that just isn’t enough of this man’s music. We had to invite him to come after-party with us at Sundaze! \n\nWith Sundaze resident DJ’s: \n\nAbe VanDam \nDeedot \nGeneral Mayhem \nRick “the plant” \n\nCLUB ACQUA \n\n160 Rideau street\, Ottawa\, Ont \n6am til 3pm | 19+ | Only $5 cover before 7:30am\, $8 after | ROAR \n\n- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - \n\nAbout KF and The Dukes: \n\nKF and his partner in crime @M are known for concocting an eclectic and heady mix of techno\, electro\, house and breaks unlike any other performers out there. Motivated by the desire to bring back the journey of the music experience\, rather than a constant bludgeoning of hard music\, The Dukes have risen quickly to the forefront of Toronto’s next generation of DJs and musicians. While remaining notorious for their energetic stage personas and wild musical tastes\, they’ve captivated crowds in every environment with their deep\, funky grooves and feverishly intense moments of pure insanity. KF brings this same energy to all his solo performances. \n\nThe Dukes were voted Toronto’s ‘Best Upcoming DJ’ in the annual city-wide voters poll\, have headlined sets at every one of Toronto's major clubs\, and been billed alongside many major international acts such as: Joey Beltram\, Ellen Allien\, Ken Ishii\, Woody McBride\, Christian Smith\, John Selway\, Aril Brikha\, Mateo Murphy and Matthew Herbert. As their reputation has spread\, they've been called on to entertain audiences across Ontario and North America\, with a cross-country tour and international dates on the horizon. \n\nThe Dukes and KF both are composing their own original material and recently completed their much anticipated second major CD\, “Let’s Get Cocky” (2004) as a follow-up to the respected and critically acclaimed ‘Slap\, Jerk and Tickle’ CD (2001).
