DESCRIPTION:Batida Solta is a roda\, a dancefloor space centered on Afrolusophone sonic\ncultures\, exploring rhythmic connections between PALOP (Lusophone Africa)\, Brazil and global club music.\n\nThe space prioritizes percussion-driven dance music\, genre-fluid DJ sets\, and sonic experimentation. It invites the audience into a space of rhythm\, movement and discovery.\n\nSAM.IITO\nSAM.IITO is a Maputo-born\, Montréal-made artist whose music has landed on Kitsuné\, Man Recordings\, Costume Records and stages from SXSW to MUTEK\, he brings the same restless ear to the booth that shaped records built on heavily processed bass sounds\, effect-laden multilingual vocals\, and sonorities. In a DJ set\, that ear roams freely.\n\nYUNG PAIN\nYUNG PAIN is a hybrid experimental DJ who moves crowds with an eclectic selection of dance music. They've performed at some of Montreal's legendary venues\, including Datcha\, Phi\, Sala Rossa\, la SAT\, and Système\, and have been invited to play events by Moonshine and LuckyMe. Using a drum machine\, YUNG PAIN adds body-moving rhythms to beautiful\nmusic you never thought you could hear in a club.\n\nBADJUDA\nBADJUDA is a Paris-born\, Montreal-based DJ and producer crafting percussive & fluid sonic journeys rooted in Afro-Lusophone & Afro-Latin sounds. Her name\, meaning “young lady” in Cabo Verdean and Bissau-Guinean Creoles\, reflects her heritage\, playing to move bodies and pra matar a saudade.
