Cette soirée\, placée sous le signe de la jeune composition musicale québécoise sera également l’occasion de lancer\, pour leur première Canadienne\, la nouvelle bombe de la scène rock française\, déjà reconnue par les programmateurs de nombreux festivals européens : Skip the Use … Autant dire un plateau que l’on retrouvera pas de sitôt pour une entrée à 10$ !\n……………………………………………………………\n……………………………………………………………\n\nLe Roi Poisson (CAN) – Disques Indica\nhttp://www.myspace.com/leroipoisson\nLe Roi Poisson est une formation pop-rock québécoise progressive très printanière\, très surprenante\, anarchiquement juvénile. Le Roi Poisson prend le parti de textes satyriques\, parfois graves\, légers ou engagés. Des sons et des mélodies qui se querellent\, se télescopent\, jusqu’à trouver l’harmonie : une rencontre entre les Colocs et Talking Heads.\n\nAprès un premier mini-album qui leur avait fait atteindre le top du classement de plusieurs radios universitaires et permis de monter sur la scène des FrancoFolies de Montréal\, ils sortent un premier album éponyme en 2009 remarqué par la critique. Depuis le groupe vient d’être sélectionné dans le cadre des Coups de Pouce à Vue sur la Relève 2010.\n\nNavet Confit (CAN) – La Confiserie\nhttp://www.myspace.com/navetconfit\nJean-Philippe Fréchette aka Navet Confit est ce fantaisiste montréalais multi-facette\, qui nous propose un rock pop singulier\, langoureux\, psychédélique\, harmonisé par un synthé parsemant des mélodies enfantines qui n’effacent pas une guitare qui renvoie à ses premiers accords\, comme Nirvana\, Smashing Pumpkins et Pavement. Des mélodies hypnotiques\, toujours à même d’entrainer son auditoire dans des profondeurs qu’on jugerait abyssales.\n\nPrintemps 2009\, le dernier opus est sans nul doute un hommage à la musique des années 90 qui a profondément marqué le jeune Navet Confit. Cette même année\, il se retrouvera récompensé par les Coups de Pouce Vue sur la Relève 2009.\n\nSkip The Use (FR) –\nhttp://www.myspace.com/skiptheuse\nLe MEG Montréal va se faire une joie cet été d’offrir à son fidèle public une des valeurs montantes de la scène rock française\, déjà très remarquée dans plusieurs contrées européennes\, mais pour la première fois en Amérique du Nord\, j’ai nommé Skip the Use ! Le Roi Poisson sides with satirical texts\, sometimes heavy\, light or committed. Sounds and melodies which quarrel\, telescope\, until finding harmony : a meeting between les Colocs and Talking Heads.\nAfter a first mini-album which had made them reach the top of the charts of many campus radios\, and which allowed the band to go up on stage at Les FrancoFolies de Montréal\, they put out a first self-titled album in 2009 that was critically acclaimed. Navet Confit is this Montreal-based whimsical and multi-faceted artist who offers a pop rock genre that is singular\, languorous\, psychedelic\, and a style harmonized by a synth strewn all over with childish melodies that bring you back to your first guitar jams\, similarly to Nirvana\, Smashing Pumpkins and Pavement. Hypnotic melodies that are always able to pull audiences in abyssal depths.\n\nIn spring 2009\, the band releases an opus that undoubtedly pays homage to 90s music which deeply marked Navet Confit in his youth.
