De 1995 à 2001\, il est en constante demande dans les soirées underground grâce au son qui lui est propre. C’est un concentré de house à saveur électro et techno-disco. Il devient résident dans des clubs de renom tels que le Club Sona\, Red Lite\, High Bar et le Jaï. Pfreud partage les platines avec les plus grands tels que Felix Da Housecat\, Dimitri From Paris\, Green Velvet\, Carl Cox\, Misstress Barbara\, Tiga\, Darren Emerson (Underworld) et Markus Nikolaï. Sa passion pour la musique l’emmène à travailler dans des boutiques spécialisées en musique électronique (DNA Records et Tabou). \n\n\nEn 2001\, la compilation mixée par DJ Pfreud « A yachting love story » est en vente partout au Canada sur l’étiquette Trigger Records\, sous licence de Warner Music Canada. Le disque est « sold-out » peu après.\n\n\nEn 2002\, il prend un recul de la scène de musique électronique pour  étudier et se spécialiser en manipulation sonore. Il est maintenant concepteur sonore et mixeur dans divers studios de Montréal. Il entretient sa flamme pour la musique en créant ses propres compositions.\n\n\nPfreud est toujours à l’affût des nouvelles tendances musicales et prend un vilain plaisir à le partager avec son public. Il se démarque par sa versatilité et son habilité technique. Ces spécialités lui permettent de mixer avec aisance sons plus classiques avec des sonorités avant-gardistes. \n\n\n++++++++\n\n\nPfreud (Frederic Laurier) is born in Montreal and he’s a DJ and producer. For then last 15 years he’s been active on the electronic music scene. From 1995 to 2001\, he was constantly in demand due to his own personal sound. Describe it as electro-house with a touch of techno-disco. Pfreud becomes a reference in Montreal and whittles an enviable position for himself as a resident DJ in the city’s renowned night clubs (Sona\, Red Lite\, High Bar and Jaï).  He shares the decks with the greatest\, namely Felix Da Housecat\, Dimitri From Paris\, Green Velvet\, Carl Cox\, Misstress Barbara\, Tiga\, Darren Emerson (Underworld) and Markus Nikolaï.  His passion for music takes him to work for state of of the art electronic music shops\, specialized for DJs (DNA Records and Tabou).\n\n\nIn 2001\, the “A Yachting Love Story” mixed cd put together by DJ Pfreud\, was on sale everywhere in Canada on the Trigger Records label\, under license from Warner Music Canada.  The record ‘sold-out’ shortly after the release.   \n\n\nIn 2002 he temporarily puts a stop to the electronic music landscape to take up specialized training in sound recording management.  He now progresses as a sound engineer and designer for various studios in Montreal.  He maintains the spirit for music by creating his very own productions.\n\n\nPfreud always stays alert towards musical trends and likes to share it with his fans.  He is distinguished by his versatility and his technical talents. His specialities allow him to mix those avant-garde and more classic sounds with the greatest of ease.
