SUMMARY:The Room And "Between Two Wo-Orlds" Live Skit
LOCATION:Centre St-Ambroise
URL:https://www.rave.ca/en/event/39631/
DESCRIPTION:$10\, available at: Cheap Thrills\, Atom Heart Records\, L’Oblique\, Sub-V and Diamond Books. \nBeer and popcorn will be for sale. Free parking.\n\nGolden Plastic Spoon Entertainment presents:\n“The Room” featuring “Between Two Wo-rolds”\n(Rated 16+ for sexuality\, language and brief violence)\n\nDoors open at 8pm\, film starts at 8:30 pm.\n\nThe Room is back for its fourth screening at the Centre St-Ambroise. This time during our live intermission skit\, the film’s writer\, star\, director and producer Tommy Wiseau (played by Paul Gubernachuk) is caught between heaven and hell. Audience members will be treated to the zany and at times surreal experience of watching the film before deciding the fate of the beloved megalomaniac.\n\nOver 25\,000 plastic spoons have been thrown at the monthly screenings of The Room in Montreal so far. “There is a real and basic need for people to throw things at bad movies\,” says an infomercial preacher with a Texan accent (played by Dan Ahmad). “It is the only true path to the source of infinite side-splitting\, tearshed-inducing laughter.” Dissidents\, however\, also add that eternity in stitches can be attained in many other ways\, such as singing along to the cheesy 80s pop music played during the love scenes\, or yelling “who the f*** are you?” at characters that are never introduced.\n\nMembers of Golden Plastic Spoon Entertainment\, the group putting on the screenings\, are allegedly questioning their sanity and their oath to not stop screening the film until all Montrealers have become Wiseauvangelists. \n\nAs unforgettable as films like Birdemic and Killer Clowns from Outer Space\, The Room is so bad that it is on Empire's Top 10 Most Disastrous Movies recently covered by the CBC. \n\nSponsored by: CJLO 1690 AM\, Centre St-Ambroise\, Sub-V and Posteropolis.\n\nhttp://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=10150154269860142
