Drawing upon its own foundations of traditional dance-oriented Central American music\, then seamlessly adapting to the popular music of elsewhere – British rock\, Dub\, Disco\, Punk – what emerged would be a recognized as a distinctly Costa Rican sound. This ongoing trend would serve as the background track for Paulo’s formative years\, when he would encounter the birth of a new sound in his city’s basement : electronic music. Paulo learned the finer points of composition\, digital studio recording and desktop arrangement. In his passion for electronic music influenced more for Techno. \n\n----------------------------\nO-RAY ( Omar Rayes)\n(tech-house / techno / progressive)\nwww.soundcloud.com/o-ray\n\nBorn in Beirut-Lebanon to a family of music lovers\, Omar Rayes was always exposed to the world of music.  Right from listening to his first rock vinyl from his father’s huge collection\, o-ray was extremely curious to know what it would be like to be part of the music culture. He started building his own musical library at the age of 13 after receiving his 1st PC. While being mainly interested in the rock scene\, o-ray was always open to any kind of music that would catch his attention.  As his collection grew\, he always used to burn CDs that included the most recent songs to his friends. o-ray’s musical style drifted from rock and metal to hip-hop and rap to finally house and dance music. \nOmar was introduced to the world of djing and underground house after moving to Montreal\, Canada. Having started by collecting and mixing progressive house\, he currently fuses dark uplifting tech-house and techno rhythms with soulful melodies reminiscent of house. The key to o-ray’s sound is a heady mix of changing melodies and subtle\, soul-stirring chord changes. He likes to play a mixture of all styles which he believes is a style in itself.
