SUMMARY:The Greasy Goose At Expozine
LOCATION:L'Église Saint-Enfant-Jésus du Mile-End
URL:https://www.rave.ca/event/35200/
DESCRIPTION:Free admission.\n\nOur November event is not a salon\, but a collaboration with the fantastic Expozine\, Montreal's annual small press\, comic\, and zine fair! For the first time\, this year's Expozine will include a series of readings and panel discussions and the Greasy Goose has helped out by programming the English-language content.\n\nSaturday\, November 14\, 3pm\n\nPanel discussion: "Printed Matter or Printed Doesn't Matter?"\nFour panelists who represent different perspectives within the independent print world will each respond to the open-ended question "Printed Matter or Printed Doesn't Matter?" Their presentations will be followed by a moderated question period.\n\nOrganizing the panel around a question\, rather than a predetermined topic\, will allow for a wide-ranging discussion\nof many issues relating to print culture\, replicating on a small scale the eclecticism of a Greasy Goose salon.\n\nPanelists:\n*Peggy Burns (associate publisher\, Drawn & Quarterly)\n*Aaron Costain (designer and comix illustrator)\n*Anna Leventhal (writer and performance artist)\n*Jim Munroe (No Media Kings)\nModerated by Jeff Miller (Ghost Pine fanzine)\n\nSunday\, November 15\, 2pm\n\nReadings!\n\nFeaturing an illustrator\, a zine writer\, and a small-press published writer\, this session of readings only scratches\nthe surface of the range of work represented at Expozine.\n\n*Nadia Moss (illustrator\, Bebe)\n*Alisha Piercy (two novellas forthcoming from Conundrum Press)\n*Laura Boo (zine writer\, Mama Boy Press)\n\nhttp://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=176659727605
