DESCRIPTION:Mesdames et messieurs\, Beat Concierge Productions sont fier de présenter le live human jungle drummer de Seattle.\nVendredi 5 septembre 2008.\n\nKevin Joseph Sawka aka KJ SAWKA...\n\nBIO: Man…or machine? That’s the question that listeners\, show-goers\, critics\, and colleagues have been asking about Kevin Sawka since the Seattle drummer started experimenting with drum ‘n bass styles in the late ‘90s in the band Siamese. The upcoming release of Cyclonic Steel\,\nproduced under the name KJ Sawka\, again demonstrates the superhuman quality of his playing and\nproduction.\nCyclonic Steel is a study in what electronic music has the potential to be\, particularly with Sawka’s vast background in electronica\, his desire to push those realms\nforward\, and also his adeptness with acoustic sounds\, jazz\, and rock techniques.\nSeattle writer James Kirchmer exclaimed that Sawka "attacked his kit with a frenetic precision so impressive I speculated that he'd once been replaced by a drum machine\, and had spent all the years\nsince working out an elaborate revenge." Sawka’s music isn’t you typical drum n bass affair. Instead\, the listener is presented with a sweaty\, rhythmic journey while meshing elements first presented in the late 90s as the “Music of the Millennium” (see: Chemical Brothers\, Prodigy). It’s a record\nthat gives off one vibe listening to it in your car or home\, but is a totally different monster in\nthe club...\nKevin Sawka didn’t invent the drum kit. He didn’t invent jungle beats\, and he didn’t invent drum ‘n bass. But by pairing these elements with his innovative approach to creating and performing\, he just might be inventing something newer\, more intricate\, and downright eyeopening...\n\nLineup Officiel de la soirée:\n\nKJ SAWKA - Cybergroove - Wax Orchard - kjsawka.com - SEATTLE\,USA\nCOLLIN SYLEX - Runaway Sound - Tunes514.com\nGENERIC - Shift Music - Function - 31 Records\nGOLGO 13 - Beat Concierge Productions\n\nVotre hôte\nQUBIQ MC - AshestoDust.com - [www.myspace.com]\n\nVisuels\nVJ KAI - StoneHaven Productions\n\n\nPrix d'entrée à la porte seulement: 15 DOLLARS\n(pas de billets en pré-vente)\nCAPACITÉ 250 personnes\n\nPETIT CAMPUS (1er étage)\n57 Prince Arthur E.\nMontréal\, QC\n514-844-1010\n[www.cafecampus.com]\n\nPour voir des vidéos :\nhttp://www.myspace.com/kjsawka\nhttp://www.myspace.com/beatconcierge\nou aller directement sur youtube
