LOCATION:TBA

DESCRIPTION:Come Join Project D as we bring you the first all night rave of 2008\, the Rave of the Living Dead\, where we celebrate the return of spring by celebrating those who have risen from their graves in order to feast on the warm flesh of the living. \n\nWe hope you &#9829\;zombies\, too. \n\nFeaturing: \nThe Liar's Rosebush - Drum + Bass LIVE PA\n(Hive Records\, Immanence Records UK)\n\nIn 1995\, at the age of twelve\, Matt Rosen made his first recording with Radio Shack microphones and MOD trackers. Tired of the music he was hearing in his arts-school orchestra\, Matt turned his ears to stranger sounds. Zippers zipping and denim ripping became ridiculous rhythmic patterns. Corrupt audio files turned into makeshift melodies. By his 18th birthday\, Matt had saved up enough pennies to get some turntables and a sampler\, and a local club promoter decided to sneak this underage kid in to play some gigs. Since then\, Matt has moved from strength to strength and style to style\, away from the \nconfines of noise toward funk\, hip-hop\, and drum & bass. His collaborations with scrape[dx] grew from the abstract electro of collect : erase (2005) into the junglist mash-up beats of nonsense< (2007). With the Hive Records solo album Circle the Squares (2007)\, the rosebush sound has come into its own\, mixing clinical beat programming with soulful\, organic instrumentation.\n\nDJ Phosphor - Freeform\n(Blizzard Tracks)\n\nThe best freeform producer in Canada is BACK. Despite having recently moved to Ottawa\, DJ Phosphor hasn't graced our stages anywhere near as often as we'd like him to\, but now he's going to bring you the freshest tunes\, the most energy\, and the largest zombie giraffe you'll ever meet! If you don't know what you're missing\, you owe it to yourself to come see this set!\n\nPsyklone [Toronto] - hardcore mashup\n(Goodfellaz\, CHC)\n\nRockin parties for years and throwing mindblowing goodfellaz events\, this fine chap has mastered the fine arts of the hardcore mashup. from the stomp to the glitch get ready to get your minds blown! \n\nD-Syfa aka ENYGMA [Toronto] - Drum + Bass \n(Impure Productions\, Abstract D+B)\n\nSince his first sighting in 2002\, D-Syfa has quickly made the moves and is now known as one of Toronto's top local DJ's. Whether its Drum & Bass\, or his new passion of bassheavy Breaks & a 4/4 fused sound under his Dirty Dave guise\, the frontman of Impure & Abstract DNB is known for bringing the beats as hard\, dark & dirty as the massive can handle. With top notch mixing\, cutting & upfront unreleased beats\, paired with a double-drop style that few can match\, he is sure to take control of any crowd he's put up against. \nD-Syfa has recently teamed up with fellow Toronto DJ/Producers Illfingas & Jeph to form ENYGMA. Watch out for big things coming from this crew in the near future!\n\nHashek - Techno\n(Gunz+Bombz\, Technoturtle)\n\nProducing electronica since the age of 14 and DJing since 1997\, DJ HASHEK (Peter Stromer) has been one of Ottawa's leading techno djs. Known for his seamless 3-turntable mixing and his technical ability behind the decks\, DJ HASHEK has played all over Ontario and Quebec\, and headlined rave and club events in Arizona\, Washington D.C.\, Massachusetts and New York\, alongside Gaetano Parisio\, Misstress Barbara\, Manu le Malin\, Laurent Ho\, Christian Smith\, DJ Preach and many more. Now he's a horrible zombie. See what comes!\n\nexT - Hardcore Techno\n(kannibalz\, CHC)\n\nThis man is the best hardcore DJ in Canada.\n\nHip-Hop vs. Twiin - Spooky music mashup\n(Project D\, Harsh_Reality\; Harsh_Reality)\n\nEnver "Redeyz" Pletilic - Electro/House\n(Project D)\n\nDain-Ja - UK Hardcore\n(1upped\, Project D)\n\nTampered DNA - Psychedelic Trance\n(Project D\, Jade Buddha)\n\nVenue TBA 24 Hours in advance\nShuttle Bus leaves from the corner of Rideau and Cumberland\, $5 there\, free on the way back!\n\nTickets available SOON at: \nNormL Clothing (42 William st\, OTTAWA)\nThe Comic Book Shoppe (228 Bank st\, OTTAWA)\nChickaboom (1097 rue St-Louis\, GATINEAU)\n\nMost up-to-date info available at www.ottawaraves.com/raveofthelivingdead
